Giving the University of Stirling a sporting chance at success

In 2014 four universities in Scotland were asked to bid for the opportunity to be named as the National Performance Centre for Sport. Stirling University asked us if we would be interested in designing and producing the submission document for their bid.

We jumped at the opportunity.

UoS were in a very strong position to achieve this auspicious title, as it is already considered “the sporting University for Scotland” with many of it’s courses linked to sports science and fitness, and also because of its rural location and on-site facilities.

Unfortunately UoS lost out, with a very small margin, to Heriot-Watt University, which won mainly due to its much closer proximity to both Edinburgh Airport, and the capital city itself.
